Last Gasp for Don't Ask Don't Tell?

President Clinton's 1993 "Don't Ask Don't Tell" law was intended as a compromise against the flat ban against Gays in the American military. It has been unpopular with both sides and has been behind the blackmail and intimidation of gay servicemen and women. The law was finally declared unconstitutional by federal judge Virginia Phillips in September 2010 and since then, President Obama's administration has edged closer and close to full repeal.

Despite pretty clear acceptance judging by sucessive opinion polls that Americans don't feel the ban on gays in their military is justifyable or sustainable and that there is limited opposition within the armed forces, there are frantic efforts to delay the implementation of the repeal- because its all going too fast! <sigh>
